Hana Turková

Dance pedagogue

Hana works as an interpret and a teacher of contemporary dance in the Czech Republic and abroad. Her dance studies started at Dance Centre Prague and she continued her studies of interpretation at London Contemporary Dance School (UK) focused on Cunningham and Release technique. Hana finished her studies in dance pedagogy of modern dance at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in June 2013. During her studies, she took part in an exchange programme at CNSMD de Lyon in France, where she had a chance to perform in a student version of NoBody by Sasha Waltz. Her professional dance carrier started in the Company LEG (Throw away, Belgium), she also collaborated with choreographers like Viktor Fung (Positively phototactic, UK), Lorena Randi (Supercade, UK) and Letizia Mazzeo (Is the grass greener?, UK). In 2012 Hana performed at the London Olympic Opening Ceremony. In Czech Republic you could have seen her in Pukani (2015/2016) by Marketa Jandova. Since 2013 Hana has been teaching contemporary dance and ballet children and adults. During the school year of 2016/2017 Hana worked for international ballet school CISCA in Shanghai, where she taught ballet as well as contemporary dance. During her stay in China, Hana performed in choreography called Delusions as a member of ballet Octahedron in Beijing and Shanghai.
